New Brunswick has a population of about 750,000 people, with less than half living in larger urban areas. New Brunswick is Canada’s only officially bilingual province, with about two-thirds of the population declaring themselves Anglophones and a third Francophones.
The province has four months of freezing temperatures and cooler summers. It has a very unique terrain of mostly forested uplands with all its rivers draining into the mighty St. Lawrence River and the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Product Care Recycling is committed to helping protect the province’s natural resources by providing waste diversion solutions for paint across the province.
Since 2009, Product Care Recycling has been protecting the environment and creating local jobs in New Brunswick in partnership with Recycle New Brunswick through our paint recycling program. The New Brunswick Paint Recycling Program was initiated in 2009 by Product Care Recycling in response to the New Brunswick Designated Materials Regulation. Product Care Recycling partners with Recycle New Brunswick to deliver the program to New Brunswick residents. The two organizations collaborate through the sharing of in-market promotional and educational activities to ensure the people of New Brunswick are able to recycle their paint.
The program accepts paint products at various recycling locations including retailers, Regional Service Commissions and beverage container redemption centres. Recycling events held around the province augment the collection system.
In New Brunswick’s paint recycling program, we accept many types of paint products including alkyd paint, latex paint, empty paint cans and paint aerosols.
For full details of accepted products, please visit the New Brunswick paint program page.
