Accepted Products

You can drop off your residential paint to us for free at any of SARCAN’s +70 recycling locations, as well as select paint retailers across Saskatchewan. Find your nearest recycling location using our recycling locator, but before you do, read our list of accepted and not accepted products below.

All SARCAN recycling locations in Saskatchewan participate in our PaintShare program, which lets you pick up high quality paint that has been dropped off by others, free of charge. Please note that supplies may be limited, and paint is given away on an as-is, as-available basis.

When dropping off your paint remember:

  • Paint must be in its original container, tightly sealed with the labels affixed.
  • Do not mix different types of paint products together. Our recycling locations can’t accept paint which has been mixed with other products
  • You can bring up to 10 containers of paint or 50 spray cans at a time (no larger than 25 litres for paint or 680g / 24oz for paint aerosols)
  • For more than 10 containers of paint or 50 spray cans, please learn more about our services for large volumes here.
