Bulembu Ministries is caring for orphaned and vulnerable children in Bulembu—a small town in Eswatini, Africa (also known as Swaziland) with a population of 2,000. Bulembu’s mission is to raise leaders, create sustainability, and restore hope through community care and community enterprise.

Restoring hope also means restoring the town itself, including the school, medical clinic, church, offices, bakery, dairy, and, of course, the children’s homes.

Product Care is proud to partner with Bulembu to support their important work. Over the last 10 years, we have donated more than 50,000 litres of recycled paint to help with their restoration efforts.

Bulembu thanks Product Care

At Product Care, one of our main goals is to prevent paint and other potentially hazardous products from ending up in our landfills and waterways. That’s why recycling your leftover paint is so important and we offer more than 1,000 paint recycling locations in eight provinces. Once paint is dropped off at a recycling location, it’s sorted into high and low quality paint. High quality paint can be reused, making our partnership with Bulembu a perfect fit. By donating high quality used paint, we are protecting the environment and helping others—tackling two important social issues at the same time.

Learn how paint is recycled

Of course, this would not be possible without the help of thousands of Canadians who take the time to bring their leftover paint to a recycling location. If you have leftover paint, you can find a recycling location here, and if you’d like to support Bulembu directly, visit their website.
