Coming Soon: Québec Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Container Program, launching June 30, 2024.

Product Care Recycling is developing a program for Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers in Québec with a targeted launch date of June 30, 2024.

Consumers will be able to drop off Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers (such as propane, butane, isobutane or MAP) for free at recycling locations across Québec for safe and responsible management.

Non-Refillable Pressurized Fuel Containers

Examples include non-refillable fuel cylinders, such as, but not limited to:

  • Non-refillable butane, isobutane cylinders or cartridges
  • Non-refillable camping cylinders or cartridges
  • Non-refillable propane cylinder or canister
  • Non-refillable fuel cylinders used for home or professional work
  • Fuel aerosol cylinders, canisters and cartilages
  • Refillable propane cylinders
  • Non-fuel pressurized cylinders, containers or canisters
  • Lighters
  • Fire starters
  • Portable helium tanks
