Dear Ontario solvent member,
Recently, we have been made aware of questions on the interpretation of “obligated solvents” under O. Reg. 449/21: HAZARDOUS AND SPECIAL PRODUCTS.
Product Care is seeking feedback from its members to obtain a better understanding of the product scope members are currently reporting under the Ontario solvent program, where there may be gaps and a need for clarity, as well as review a draft decision tree created by RPRA.
Please join us for a brief meeting next week on March 12th from 3:00pm – 3:30pm ET to review the relevant information and discuss opportunities for increased clarity. A survey to obtain additional feedback will be sent shortly after the meeting to all participating solvent members.
