Dear Collection Partners,
As previously communicated, to help inform and facilitate the 2027 allocation between non-HSP HHW and HSP products within the commingled system, Product Care conducted a summer lab pack sampling study at Clean Harbors in June 2026 and planned for additional sampling in the fall at DBS Environmental. The date will be September 23, 2026.
Recognizing that communities are key partners in this program, we invite communities participating in commingled collections to observe the study in the spirit of collaboration and transparency.

Due to space limitations and the safety requirements of our service providers, community observers will be limited to a maximum of eight representatives per time slot. Interested participants are asked to email alberta@productcare.org by September 15 indicating their preferred time slot. We will strive to consider all preferences; however, if requests exceed the available capacity, we may not be able to accommodate everyone.
The results of this study and the summer/fall sampling event will inform the allocation for 2027 which will be communicated in late 2026.
