Product Care is inviting feedback on the draft Program Plan for the renewal of the BC Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Stewardship Program.
Product Care operates the BC Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Recycling Program on behalf of producers of smoke alarm and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm products sold in British Columbia. The Program has been operating since October 1, 2011, under an approved EPR Program Plan.
Product Care has prepared a draft Program Plan for stakeholder review and feedback before it is finalized and submitted to the Ministry for approval. Stakeholder feedback received will be considered when finalizing the draft Program Plan prior to submission to the Ministry by August 17, 2026.

How to provide feedback
Stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft plan and share comments or questions during the consultation period, either during the webinar or by email to bcalarmrecycle@productcare.org.
