Reminder for Member Comments on Proposed SK HHW Regulations – Deadline December 15
This is a reminder that the deadline to provide feedback on proposed HHW Regulations in Saskatchewan is December 15, 2017. Comments and feedback can be provided through the SK Government’s online survey, which you can access at https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/public-consultations/household-hazardous-waste-consultation. PCA encourages members to provide feedback to ensure that industry’s perspective is heard and considered.

NWT Resource Management Strategy Considers EPR including Paint
The Government of the Northwest Territories is developing a Waste Resource Management Strategy for the next 10 years. They have released a discussion paper titledDeveloping a Waste Resource Management Strategy for the NWT, which references the potential for EPR programs to cover a range of products including paint, tires, used oil, batteries and large appliances (see page 18 of the discussion paper). In-person regional meetings will be held in a number of locations in January and February 2018. The deadline for comments is February 28, 2018.
