As British Columbia shifts into warmer, sunnier, beach-ier weather, this can only mean one thing: summer events! Oh yeah! We are talking fairs, festivals, and community events, and it is especially exciting because we have the ultimate dynamic duo to help you recycle all kinds of household products and so much more.
Meet Matt Goldberg and Sarah Pratt: your recycling dream team! This recycling savvy squad will be travelling across Metro Vancouver and all around BC attending local community events, visiting depots and providing you with everything you need to know about recycling paints, lights and smoke alarms easily, and for free.
About the Ambassadors
Sarah Pratt is a recent graduate of SFU’s School of Communication and has just returned from an incredible 4 month post-grad trip to Southeast Asia and Australia. Addicted to the feeling of wanderlust, Sarah is thrilled at the opportunity to work with Product Care this summer exploring this beautiful province and encouraging the message of recycling. In her spare time, Sarah can be found in her favorite neighbourhood of Vancouver, Commercial Drive, cycling around on her bike, sipping Americanos, petting cats, and looking for secret green spaces to practice her “expert” yoga moves.
Matt Goldberg is originally from North Vancouver, and studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax. When he is not studying or working, Matt can be found playing on the soccer field or practicing the trumpet with his jazz band. After graduation next year, Matt hopes to pursue a career in education, and his goal is to be just like Robin Williams’ character in the 1989 classic Dead Poets Society. So far, no one at the Product Care office has greeted him with “oh captain, my captain!” but it’s a long summer – there’s still time! Matt is super excited to be working with the Product Care team, and can’t wait to spread the good word about recycling across the province!
