New Brunswick Paint and Household Hazardous Waste Stewardship

The New Brunswick government announces creation of Recycle New Brunswick and paint stewardship.

Information for Paint brandowners who do business in New Brunswick.

New Brunswick has just passed regulations establishing a new multi-material stewardship board in New Brunswick, and designating paint products for product stewardship. See the regulation here: http://www.gnb.ca/0062/regs/2008-54.htm

If you are a paint brandowner in New Brunswick you have two obligations:

  • to register with the Recycle New Brunswick board by May 31, 2008 (using the registration form below).
  • to submit a paint stewardship program to Recycle New Brunswick by July 31, 2008 (the actual start date of any approved program will be set by Recycle New Brunswick).

Product Care is developing a paint stewardship program for New Brunswick on behalf of its members, and will complete the filing of the plan within the 90 day period, and notify you.
